This joint event between NWDA, the Technology Strategy Board and the HealthTech & Medicines KTN will bring you the latest news on the Detection and Identification of Infectious Agents (DIIA) Innovation Platform and provide an opportunity to network with potential partners in the North West. This Platform presents a major funding opportunity for your business and will see investment from the Technology Strategy Board and the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) of up to £55 million over five years in innovative research and development into diagnostic tests to help reduce the number of deaths and cases of illness caused by infectious diseases.
At this meeting, the overall aims of the programme will be introduced and specific information provided on the call topics for the 1st call of this Platform - addressing antimicrobial resistance and sexually transmitted infections. Businesses working in the areas of diagnostics, electronics, materials and data management are expected to be able to contribute solutions to these topics.
